One of our incredible camps is bound to be just the right fit for whatever you love to do all summer long:

  • Camp Hoffman/Camp Green Forest on the shores of Larkin Pond in South County
  • Camp Promising Acres, with its large, beautiful swimming pool, in Swansea, MA
  • Camp Cookie in the forests and rocky farmland of northwest, RI
  • Camp Rocky Farm is just steps away from Newport's famed Ocean Drive, camp Rocky Farm is an oasis in the middle of a bustling historic Newport.

The best part is that you don't have to be in a Girl Scout troop to attend – all girls are welcome! Sign up with a friend from school or your neighborhood, or come on your own and make some new friends!

Day Camp

At day camp, you'll be grouped into a “unit” based on your grade and experience. If you and your friend are in the same grade and want to be in the same unit, just let us know and we'll make it happen! Girls entering grades K through 8 are always welcome at day camp. Day camp sessions are either one week or two weeks and the day runs from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Girl Scouts take the bus to and from camp – such a great way to meet your fellow campers. There's an aide on the bus to answer any of your questions . . . and lead the singing! Yes, singing!

Each unit has its own shelter, kitchen and latrine which you're responsible for keeping neat and tidy, just like your room at home! No real special equipment is required. We'll ask you to pack a lunch, a towel, your favorite bathing suit and lots of sunscreen (and bug spray!) and water. Oh, and bring a mess kit, too! (A mess kit is a washable dish, bowl, cup and eating utensils.)

Want to make friends outside your unit? Don't worry! You'll also have plenty of time at all-camp activities like camp talent shows! And for girls who attend multiple sessions, each session has a different theme so you never get bored.

Overnight Camp

smiling girlsGirls entering grades 2 through 12 may attend overnight camp at Camp Hoffman. Come for a three-day or a one-week program. Overnight camping gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself even further and develop lifelong friendships. You'll be grouped into units based on your program choice. You'll do lots together, but you'll also have the opportunity to choose activities that interest you most. One week sessions allow you to focus on your interests: archery, sailing, horseback riding, canoeing or exploring the night sky. The choice is yours and it is endless!

At overnight camp, you'll sleep in platform tents – these are big canvas tents raised off the ground on a wooden platform. And, yes, there are showers with hot water and flushing toilets! You'll dine in the big, beautiful Barbara W. French Dining Hall.

Check out the deluxe high and low ropes challenge course! This course was made possible through a generous grant from The Champlin Foundations.

Still not sure if overnight camp is for you? Consider the one-night Me & My Gal or Me & My Guy programs. Come with your mom, dad or parental guardian and sample an overnight camp experience with a familiar face close by! These programs are for girls entering grades 2 and up.

Our Counselors

What is one of the things girls like most about Girl Scout camp? The counselors! Many of our counselors (including those from all over the world!) come back year after year, their love of the outdoors and “all things Girl Scout” makes for a fun summer!

For Older Girls

Girl Scout Camp is for older girls too! We offer several meaningful leadership opportunities at summer camp. We provide you the training and experience you'll need to be a camp “counselor in training” – starting in 10th grade. If you're a great swimmer, we can even help you become a water safety instructor aide. And don't forget, participating in these programs looks great on your college applications too!

Cookie Credits

If you sell Girl Scout cookies, you can earn $0.20 per box to help pay for the cost of camp. The more cookies you sell, the more affordable camp is for you and your family!
