In our council, girls sell Girl Scout cookies from late December through the end of March.

Some troops choose to sell “directly” – boxes of cookies are immediately available to customers. Other troops choose to take orders from customers and fulfill them once all the orders are in.

The girls in our council sell cookies throughout Rhode Island, in Pawcatuck, CT and in these communities in MA: Attleboro, Bellingham, Blackstone, Fall River, Millville, North Attleborough, Plainville, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Somerset, Swansea, Westport, and Wrentham.

There are two official Girl Scout Cookie bakers and, depending on which baker a council chooses, the selection offered may be different - even the names vary by baker. What one state calls Caramel deLites, another state knows as Samosas!!

The girls in our council sell Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Thanks-A-Lots, Lemonades, Short Breads, and Caramel deLites.

And for the second year in a row, we are offering a ninth Girl Scout cookie the "Trios" which is GLUTEN-FREE! We have something to satisfy the sweet tooth of every Girl Scout cookie lover, even those sensitive to gluten.

Where does the money go?

We sell our cookies for four dollars a box and every penny of profit stays to benefit girls in our local area. Troops earn proceeds to go on exciting trips, girls can earn credits toward a summer at one of GSSNE's camps.

Each year our council selects a local organization to be the recipient of our annual Cookie Sale Community Service project. Girls can choose to donate a portion of their troop cookie sale proceeds to the organization. It's a great way for the girls to give back to our community.

This year we have selected The Katie
DeCubellis Memorial Foundation to be our service project beneficiary. The mission of The Katie
DeCubellis Memorial Foundation is to promote youth leadership, to support education and to generate
public awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and substance abuse. Katie was killed by a drunk driver
at the age of 13. She was a Girl Scout who believed in helping others and making the world a better place. By educating the community about the dangers of drunk driving, Katie's legacy can live on.

This "taste of home" is always appreciated by our servicemen and women.
